Job Description
A Baking & Retail Assistant position is open at Dude's Donuts, come join our team! We're looking for someone to join our tight-knit team with similar values of collaboration, hard work and integrity, bringing a detail-oriented approach and sincere effort each day. We are a small batch, 100% plant-based and gluten free donut kitchen located in Port Orchard, Washington. Since 2019, we have been a wholesale production bakery and produce baked artisan donuts for grocery stores, coffee shops, cafes, and online sales. And as of December 1, 2022, we also operate our first retail store on Bay Street in downtown Port Orchard, WA. This position is for you if you would like to hone your own baking craft, be a part of building a young, plant-based baking company, and you are adaptable to the changing environment of a fast-growing business. This is a great way to build your career in specialty baking! Core Responsibilities
- Prep ingredients and follow production list.
- Maintain cleanliness and safe food-handling procedures.
- Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist with donut decoration and baking over time. Qualifications
- Displayed passion for baking and/or plant-based/gluten-free foods
- Professional and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to take direction, desire to learn and grow.
- Thorough work with a sense of productivity and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Dependability and strong teamwork and communication skills. Physical Requirements
- Ability to work a large mixer, with and near ovens.
- Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Use of your hands constantly, including piping, decorating, and holding.
- Standing for longer periods of time.
