Job Description

Crusty Crumb Bakery is seeking an experienced, dependable Full-Time Night Baker to join our team in Port Townsend. Our new baker will initially train during daytime hours alongside our bakery team to learn our recipes, processes, and production schedule. Once fully trained and proficient, they will transition to the regular overnight schedule and work independently to complete bakery production for the following business day.
Schedule:
Thursday-Monday, 11:00 PM-7:00
AM Pay:
$22-$27/hour, depending on experience Responsibilities Maintain and feed sourdough starters Mix, proof, shape, and bake a variety of breads and pastries Follow established recipes and production schedules to maintain quality and consistency Safely operate commercial bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofing equipment Complete overnight production for the following business day Assist with preparing premade sandwiches for weekend service Monitor ingredients and supplies needed for production Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace Qualifications Previous baking and/or dough-production experience Bread and sourdough experience is a plus Comfortable working with commercial bakery equipment Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently once training is complete Strong time-management and organizational skills Attention to detail and ability to consistently follow recipes Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Current Washington State Food Worker Card, or ability to obtain one before beginning work If you're passionate about baking, take pride in producing consistent, high-quality products, and are looking for a full-time position where you can become an important part of our bakery production team, we'd love to hear from you.
