Love baking from scratch and working with a small, supportive kitchen team? Cafe Javasti's Little Kitchen is looking for a reliable, motivated baker to join our growing crew! For over 20 years, Cafe Javasti has been a beloved part of the Northeast Seattle community, serving handcrafted baked goods, coffee, and fresh food made with care. As demand for our products continues to grow, we're excited to add another team member to our kitchen. About the Role This is a part-time position averaging about 24 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours in the future.

Set Schedule:

Saturday Sunday Tuesday Typical shifts begin at 7:00 a.m. and are usually around 7-8 hours depending on production needs.

Starting Pay:

$22.00 per hour Paid biweekly What You'll Be Doing This role is approximately: 75% baking 25% savory food prep You'll help prepare a variety of scratch-made baked goods including: Cookies Quick breads Cakes and cupcakes Dessert bars You'll also assist with savory kitchen prep such as: Breakfast sandwiches and burritos Quiche Sauces Pasta salads and green salads We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, works well independently, and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality food. What We're Looking For At least 1 year of professional baking or kitchen experience Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency Strong time management and organizational skills Positive attitude and professional work ethic Clean and efficient workspace habits Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods Current Washington State Food Handler Permit We're a hardworking kitchen team that likes to laugh, stay organized, and support each other through busy days. After the initial interview, candidates will be invited to complete a short paid stage.
