Job Description
Position Overview The Bakery Assistant Manager supports the department manager in all bakery operations, ensuring excellent customer service, accurate order processing, and proper display stocking. Responsibilities include greeting customers, providing advice, taking orders, packaging baked goods, and maintaining display freshness. Key Duties Follow all safety, sanitation, and regulatory policies. Achieve sales and profit goals while minimizing shrink through proper handling and storage. Assist with customer orders for cakes and specialty baked goods. Ensure proper processing, preparation, and packaging of products. Complete bakery paperwork and manage inventory levels. Train and develop bakery staff, acting in the manager's absence. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of bakery or retail experience preferred. Basic computer skills, ability to read, write, and perform math. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions.
