The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, and a passion for coffee and food and beverage preparation. This role involves creating a welcoming enthusiastic environment for customers while ensuring the consistency of high-quality beverage and food. A strong passion for serving people with prior experience with POS systems such as Toast POS, along with time management skills and knowledge of food safety standards. Retail and sales experience recommended. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards. Operate POS systems including Toast POS for order processing and cash handling. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries about our coffee professionally. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including food preparation stations, seating areas, inside and outside. Follow food safety protocols during food handling, preparation, and serving to ensure compliance with health regulations. Manage multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Support team members in daily operations to create a positive customer experience. Experience Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable. Familiarity with Toast POS systems is a plus. Strong people skills with the ability to engage positively and enthusiastically with our customers. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Experience in serving in retail environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
