Barista/Cashier City Bowls | Homewood Homewood, AL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $14 - $17 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining the store environment, providing friendly service, and contributing to a positive atmosphere. Duties Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Square POS systems for order processing and cash handling. Learning the City Bowls and Coffee menu Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including coffee preparation stations and dining areas. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and sales transactions. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment for all guests. Experience Previous barista experience or any experience in the food service industry is required. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of different coffee types is a plus. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail transactions. Experience using POS systems is beneficial; familiarity with Square POS is an advantage.
