Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in food safety and customer service will ensure that every guest has an exceptional experience. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, counters, and dining areas. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for cash handling and customer transactions. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and reporting shortages as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to enhance customer interactions.
