(Drink Making & Prep) to join our vibrant café team for our multiple locations (Artesia location)! In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, crafting delicious beverages and preparing food with passion and precision. Your enthusiasm for coffee, customer service expertise, and ability to manage multiple tasks will ensure every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to company standards Handle food preparation and food safety procedures to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, sales transactions, and order processing Manage time effectively during busy periods to deliver prompt service while maintaining accuracy in orders Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests warmly, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in compliance with food handling regulations Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper food handling practices are followed Qualifications Must act with integrity, honesty, and uphold Astra Bean's culture and values Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours Experience in the food industry or previous barista experience is a plus but not required Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 40 lbs occasionally Must demonstrate or be trained in food safety and proper food handling (California Food Handler Card is required to have/be obtained within 30 days) Available to work at least 3 days per week (25-35 hours), including weekends and holidays Must have legal authorization to work in the United States How to Apply Send your resume to: manager2@astrabean.com Join us to be part of a lively team that values energy, professionalism, and a passion for great service!
