As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Your role will be essential in ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile and a great cup of coffee. Responsibilities Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Toast for order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, answer questions, and make recommendations based on their preferences. Handle food preparation tasks while adhering to food safety guidelines and regulations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and efficiency. Skills Previous Barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Proficient in using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros for efficient order processing. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices related to food handling and preparation. Experience in the food industry or food service is highly desirable.
