Job Description
Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and experience working in food and beverage environments. This role offers an opportunity to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests while honing your skills in food preparation, POS systems, and retail math. Prior experience with café operations and food safety standards is highly valued. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks with precision and care Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including serving baked goods or light snacks Uphold health standards by following food safety protocols and sanitation procedures Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple tasks efficiently with strong time management skills Experience Previous barista experience in a café or coffee shop setting is preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is advantageous Experience in food service, including serving, cashiering, and food handling Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests Knowledge of retail math, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for accurate transactions Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operations during shifts Join our team to deliver quality coffee experiences while developing your skills in a dynamic café environment.
