Job Summary We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Coffee Specialist or barista to join our growing team. In this role, you'll prepare handcrafted beverages, provide outstanding customer service, maintain a clean and organized café, and help create an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities Prepare espresso drinks, specialty coffee beverages, teas, refreshers, and selected food items according to company recipes and quality standards. Welcome every guest with a friendly attitude and provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items. Accurately take customer orders and process payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash and electronic transactions while maintaining an accurate cash drawer. Ensure beverages and food items are prepared consistently and presented to company standards. Maintain cleanliness throughout the café, including workstations, equipment, dining areas, and restrooms. Restock ingredients, cups, pastries, merchandise, and other supplies throughout the shift. Monitor product freshness and notify management when inventory is running low. Support teammates during busy periods to ensure efficient service and a positive customer experience. Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety procedures. Assist with opening and closing duties, cleaning tasks, and other operational responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Passion for coffee, hospitality, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Friendly, professional, and dependable with a positive attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities during busy shifts. Team-oriented with a willingness to support coworkers. Previous coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Willingness to learn specialty coffee preparation and company standards. Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
