Barista Cashier Napoleone's Italian Market Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items. This role requires a passion for the food and beverage industry, strong multitasking skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, positive and welcoming environment. As a Barista, you will be the face of our café, creating a positive experience for every guest. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using standard recipes and equipment. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures during food preparation and serving. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality standards are met. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards. Support team members to ensure smooth operation during shifts. Experience Previous barista experience is REQUIRED, training will be provided to ensure excellent performance. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and food service operations is advantageous. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently.
