Job Description
Long Dog Coffee and Treats is planning to grow the team! Previous coffee shop or baking experience is required. Creatives will be given abundant opportunities to create. Must love dogs. The position will require four essential job duties: 1. Specialty coffee service including but not limited to espresso calibration, latte pours, and various brewing methods. Craft syrups made in-house. Some barista experience is required, but additional training will be provided. 2. Baking basic recipes such as cookies, scones, muffins, and cakes. Dough prep, batter and filling production will occur throughout the day. Professional baking experience not necessary, but a passion for baking is an absolute requirement. Training will be provided. 3. Cash-register managemen t and customer sales. Basic math for cash management and strong people skills is a must. Not a good fit if you are shy. Engaging with our customers and being socially graceful is an essential and possibly most important job-function. 4. Willingness to clean ! Everybody does everything, there is no dedicated dish-washer or cleaning crew. If scrubbing baseboards or drains is a deal-breaker, thank you for reading this far. All employees must follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages. Food handlers card required. This is a small, family-owned business in a small corner of a very high-traffic area. The position will be fast-paced with a lot of room for creative input. I am looking to create an atmosphere where phones go in the locker and your attention is focused on creating amazing coffee, pastries, and experiences for our customers. I am dedicated to creating a familial work environment so that we can create a familial atmosphere for our customers.
