Ryokucha Cafe is a modern matcha-focused cafe centered around high-quality Japanese tea, clean aesthetics, and a calm customer experience. We focus on intentional drinks, beautiful presentation, and creating a space people actually want to stay in.

Position:

We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented barista to join our team 3-5 days a week, 10am-4pm. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with matcha, cares about quality, and takes pride in presentation. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of matcha-based drinks, coffee beverages, and light food items with precision and flair Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests warmly and efficiently Operate POS systems such as Square for accurate order processing and cash handling Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the café, including food preparation areas Manage multiple tasks effectively using strong time management skills during busy periods Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and retail math calculations Support food handling procedures, ensuring proper food safety practices are followed at all times Requirements Previous barista experience, especially with coffee or matcha beverages, is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems like Square Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Ability to manage time efficiently in a medium-paced environment Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math tasks Experience in the food industry or café setting is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
