Job Overview Join our café team as a Cafe Associate at the Baker's Brew Cafe, where your energy and enthusiasm is really needed as we come closer to open this new Bakery and Cafe which will be serving Specialty roasted craft coffee and freshly baked pastries along with premium deli sandwiches, soups and salads. In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face behind the counter, expertly handling food and beverage preparation, serving customers with a smile, and ensuring a smooth and efficient café experience. Your passion for food service and customer satisfaction will drive the success of our bustling café, making each visit memorable and enjoyable. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop and showcase your Barista skills and Cafe experience in a fast-paced, Bakery & Cafe while contributing to a lively community space. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of Specialty Espresso and other cafe beverages along with Deli sandwiches and baked pastries and more, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate Toast POS system order processing, payments, and sales transactions. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries promptly. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food handling areas, including bussing tables and cleaning workstations regularly. Manage cash handling duties with accuracy, including cash register operations and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Support kitchen operations by assisting with food prep, stocking supplies, and adhering to food safety regulations. Requirements Previous experience in cafe working as Barista is preferred. Also food preparation or food service experience from sandwich shop and cafe is preferred; Familiarity with

systems desirable. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a quick service or fast-food environment. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to perform basic math for transactions, retail math calculations, and inventory management. Prior experience working in fast paced cafes making espresso drinks is etail stores, grocery stores, or the food industry will be advantageous.
