Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a experienced, passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that each guest has a memorable experience in our café. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as food items, following established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Operate the Aloha POS system for processing transactions efficiently and accurately. Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Engage with customers to promote new products and specials while fostering a friendly atmosphere. Requirements Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred, particularly in a café or coffee shop setting. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds as needed. A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to help others are essential qualities for this role.
