Job Description
Part-time Barista/ Food Preparer Must have at least 1 year of experience in specialty coffee environment. Proficiency in Latte Art and milk steaming, calibrating espresso machine is a requirement. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, as well as simple food preparation according to established recipes and standards. Operate the POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low. Manage food handling responsibilities including food safety practices, food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness in food prep areas Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Skills Dialing in Espresso Steaming milk to perfection Latte Art Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling regulations Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively Friendly and outgoing personality Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours A passion for coffee, including knowledge of different brewing methods and flavor profiles Must have experience behind the bar (on an espresso machine) for 1+ years Ability to work both front of house (serving customers) and back of house (food prep) roles seamlessly
