Front of House Team Member/Barista Required Availability (Please do not apply if this does not align with your availability): Saturdays and Sundays, 7am - 2:30pm each day.

Compensation and Benefits:
Training Wage:
$19/hr + Tip Pool ($3-4/hr)
Regular Wage:
$20-22/hr + Tip Pool ($3-4/hr)
Note:
Once you are able to complete independent shifts without a shadow trainer, your wage will be raised within this range based on your experience, demonstrated skill level, and internal tenure.

Our ideal candidate will perform service duties efficiently and accurately like dialing in espresso, restocking, navigating rushes, and maximizing lulls. They will also bring excellent and unique hospitality to the team-looking for every opportunity to create meaningful interactions with our customers. This may look like remembering a regular's dog's name, patiently guiding a newcomer through our fresh-milled grain philosophy, or simply making sure every single person who walks through our doors feels a little bit better when they leave. Our team does not just go through the motions; we seek meaning and care in each task and interaction. Job Responsibilities Dial in espresso every morning and adjust as needed through the shift to ensure extraction meets the shop's standards. Record updates to calibration and clearly communicate to the team using proper channels like Slack Prepare all beverages according to established recipes, making sure proper milk texture and temperature are achieved. Maintain the machine and all espresso equipment according to cleaning standards and schedule. Greet customers enthusiastically and assist them with questions and purchases. Have strong product knowledge and be able to describe flavor profiles, ingredients, and any allergens clearly to customers. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems. Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment in a secure and organized manner. Maintain a steady, efficient flow of service: proactively stock baked goods and retail products, clean, and prep for food and drink service. Keep accurate inventory for online and in-store purchases. Resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner. Maintain a clean, presentable, and organized retail space. Count and reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift, ensuring accuracy. Collaborate with team members to achieve overall retail goals and objectives. Stay informed about product knowledge for current and future menus. Pack retail pre-orders and online orders, market crates, and wholesale orders. Set yourself and others up for a successful shift. Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements Bakery work is inherently physically demanding. To safely and successfully perform the duties of this role, you must be able to meet the following physical expectations: Ability to stand and walk continuously for an entire 6 to 8-hour shift, excluding authorized meal and rest breaks. Ability to safely and frequently lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs (never exceeding 50 lbs unassisted). Consistent use of hands and wrists for dialing in espresso, wiping counters, typing on POS systems, and handling cash. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching above shoulder level to restock supplies, pack market crates, and clean equipment. Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, high-volume kitchen environment with fluctuating temperatures and shared workspaces. Ability to consistently use loud, clear verbal call-outs (e.g., 'Behind,' 'Hot,' 'Sharp') to ensure spatial awareness and safety in a busy kitchen environment.
