Job Description

Press + Pour is a cozy café that brews cold-pressed juices, craft coffee, and pastries. We're on a mission to deliver consistent quality, clean flavors, and warm hospitality. We're on the hunt for a Barista Supervisor who knows their stuff about third-wave coffee and can lead a small team with clarity, positivity, and consistency. The Barista Supervisor will be the heart and soul of our daily café operations, focusing on coffee quality, staff coordination, and smooth service flow. You'll be behind the bar, helping new baristas learn the ropes, and making sure the café is clean, organized, and ready to welcome our guests. This role works closely with our owners and kitchen leadership to keep Press + Pour running smoothly from morning till night. Here's what you'll be doing: Lead by example on the bar: dialing in, espresso accuracy, and latte art consistency Train baristas on drink standards, timing, workflow, and guest interaction Make sure drinks are of the highest quality, speed, and presentation across shifts Stay up-to-date with the latest coffee, tea, juice, and seasonal menus Oversee bar flow and shift coverage to keep lines moving smoothly Help with opening/closing procedures and bar checklists Keep an eye on the inventory of milks, syrups, beans, cups, and retail items Let management know if there are any equipment issues or supply needs Keep the café clean: bar area, pastry case, condiment station, and lobby Coach team members during service with real-time guidance Help maintain a positive, collaborative work environment Support new hires through onboarding and ongoing skills development • 1-2 years of barista experience (third-wave experience is a huge plus). Prior shift lead or supervisory experience is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented Ability to lift 30-40 lbs and stand for long periods Available on mornings and weekends A hospitality-driven leader Someone who can elevate quality without being too self-absorbed A bar-forward thinker who values workflow, cleanliness, and consistency A person who fits our culture: positive, curious, and committed to great service
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
