Through thoughtful hospitality, compassionate care, education, and adoption, we help people better understand and connect with cats while giving every cat in our care the opportunity to be seen, known, and loved. We're growing our team and looking for Purrristas to help bring that experience to life. This is a uniquely varied role that brings together hospitality, cafe operations, cat care, guest education, and adoption support. You'll work across both our cafe and cat lounge, contributing wherever you're needed and playing an important role in the experience we create for our guests, our cats, and one another. What You'll Do As a Purrrista, you'll help create an exceptional experience for every guest while ensuring our cats feel safe, respected, understood, and cared for. Throughout your shift, you may: Craft high-quality coffee, tea, matcha, and other cafe beverages with consistency and care. Welcome and engage guests of all ages, helping each person feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive. Confidently and thoughtfully communicate policies and lounge guidelines, helping guests understand the "why" behind them and navigating questions or disappointment with composure and care. Help guests better understand cats by sharing feline body language, demonstrating respectful ways to interact, and guiding positive experiences based on each cat's individual personality and boundaries. Get to genuinely know the cats in our care—their personalities, preferences, backgrounds, and adoption details—so you can share accurate information, make thoughtful introductions, and help potential adopters find the right match. Care for our cats and their environment through enrichment, observation, litter box maintenance, cleaning, and other daily care needs. Maintain exceptionally clean, organized, and welcoming spaces throughout the cafe and lounge through ongoing cleaning, sanitizing, laundry, dishes, and restocking. Move confidently between the cafe and lounge as needs change, proactively stepping in to support your teammates and asking for guidance when you need it. Contribute to special events and other experiences that bring our community together. You'll Thrive Here If You... Experience & Training Experience in any of the following areas is preferred, but not required: Barista or cafe operations Hospitality or guest service Cat care or handling Animal welfare, rescue, shelter, or adoption services We invest in our team and believe the right mindset can be just as valuable as prior experience. Schedule:

Must be available to work evenings and weekends Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, squat, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning and care tasks throughout a shift. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Comfortable working around cats, cat allergens, food and beverages, and cleaning products. Must be willing and able to work across both the cafe and cat lounge.
