Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time (PT) experienced baristas to join our team at one of Truckee's favorite coffee shops. The ideal candidates understand good customer service in a coffee shop setting. They're friendly, work fast and efficiently, are knowledgeable & experienced within the realm of specialty coffee drink preparation, and are motivated to make improvements in customer and employee experience. Shifts are available in both Truckee and in our coffee cart that will be parked in Tahoe City. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the FOH area, BOH service and prep areas, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Prepare beverages according to established recipes and guidelines. Assist in inventory management, ordering, stock rotation and replenishment as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction. Skills Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Proficient in operating POS systems with cash handling experience. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Previous barista experience is required. A willingness to help others and work collaboratively as part of a team.
