Job Description
Overview Join our team as a Barista and become a part of our "friendly neighborhood cafe" environment! In this role, you will craft delicious beverages, deliver exceptional customer service, and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Your energy and attention to detail will help us serve high-quality drinks and food, ensuring each visitor leaves satisfied and eager to return. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service while working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, espresso, tea, smoothies, specialty drinks, acai bowls, and more! Operate a register; Toast POS system. Handle cash register operations. Maintain cleanliness of the cafe areas; food handling surfaces, equipment, lavatory, seating areas, etc. Food Handlers certificate required. Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about ingredients or beverage options, and provide friendly service. Manage time effectively and multi-task! Our cafe gets busy, be ready to work in a fun fast pace environment. Ensure prompt service and minimal wait times. Skills Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities. Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving accurate change. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and proper cleaning protocols. Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours effectively.
