Must be 18+ | Barista experience preferred but not required — we'll teach you! A Little About Us At Ampersand Coffee Roasters, coffee is just the excuse — connection is the real menu item. We believe every cup should come with a smile, a good conversation, and maybe a new favorite drink you didn't know you needed. If you love people as much as you love (or are excited to learn about) great coffee, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Be Doing Be the first smile they see and the last "see you soon!" they hear — greet every guest warmly and send them off with just as much warmth. Make chatting part of the experience — keep the conversation flowing with guests rather than just with your fellow baristas. Everyone's invited into the conversation! Help guests find their new favorite drink — whether they know exactly what they want or need a nudge toward something new, you'll help them order something they'll genuinely enjoy. Keep things running smoothly — complete your daypart's tasks, hand off a clean and organized space to the next shift, and check in before you head out. Keep your bar sharp — dial in espresso throughout the day, keep your area clean and stocked, and follow health and safety standards. Grow your coffee knowledge — learn our origins, roasts, and tasting notes so you can speak to them with confidence (and enthusiasm!). Stay in your flow — whether you're solo behind the bar or working alongside a teammate, you'll keep service smooth and consistent. Be a team player — bring questions, ideas, or concerns to your lead barista or cafe manager, and keep your availability and scheduling needs communicated early. Help keep the shop stocked — lend a hand putting away milk and pastry deliveries when they arrive. What We're Looking For You're 18 years or older You genuinely enjoy people — chatting with strangers doesn't drain you, it fuels you You're available for at least two shifts a week, including weekends and evenings — this one's a must! You're reliable and communicate proactively (we ask for time-off requests 4 weeks out whenever possible!) You're excited to learn about coffee, even if you're starting from scratch Prior barista experience is a plus, but a great attitude matters more to us Why You'll Love It Here Come be part of a cafe that values genuine connection as much as a perfectly dialed-in shot. If you're looking for a place where your personality is just as important as your latte art, this is it. Ready to join us? Apply through Indeed or send an email to with your resume attached!
