Pull & Press Café, located inside the state-of-the-art Paragon Athletic Center, is seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Barista/Café Team Member to join our team. This is a hands-on café position for someone who enjoys working with people, preparing high-quality drinks and food, and contributing to a welcoming, health-focused environment. You will prepare coffee, smoothies, fresh-pressed juices, and café items while helping create a positive experience for every guest.

What You'll Do:

Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, smoothies, juices, shakes, and other café beverages. Prepare health-focused snacks and food items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure every item is made accurately, consistently, and presented professionally. Learn the café menu, ingredients, preparation methods, and common dietary considerations. Assist with seasonal drinks and café specials.

Deliver Outstanding Customer Service:

Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take orders accurately and answer questions about menu items. Make recommendations based on customer preferences. Build relationships with regular customers and members of the Paragon Athletic Center community. Address routine customer concerns respectfully and involve management when needed. Support Daily Café

Operations:

Operate the point-of-sale system and process cash and credit-card transactions accurately. Complete opening, closing, and shift responsibilities. Restock cups, ingredients, food items, and café supplies. Monitor product levels and communicate low-stock items to management. Assist with receiving and organizing café deliveries. Follow recipes, portion standards, and food-safety procedures. Maintain a

Clean and Welcoming Environment:

Keep the service counter, preparation areas, equipment, tables, and customer areas clean and organized. Wash dishes and properly clean café equipment. Follow all food-handling, sanitation, and safety requirements. Help maintain a café environment that is professional, inviting, and consistent with the Pull & Press brand. Work as Part of the

Team:

Communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers and management. Help teammates during busy periods. Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work. Required Qualifications:

Previous customer-service, restaurant, café, or retail experience preferred. Interest in coffee, smoothies, juicing, food, health, or wellness. Friendly, dependable, and professional demeanor. Ability to learn recipes and consistently follow preparation standards. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine café duties, including lifting and restocking supplies. Willingness to complete required food-safety or food-handler training. Preferred Qualifications Previous barista or café experience.
