Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide excellent service and maintain a clean work environment will contribute to the overall success of our establishment. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup. Operate the Toast POS system for order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Assist in food preparation, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail transactions. Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support each other in daily tasks. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and colleagues. Willingness to learn about coffee varieties, brewing methods, and menu offerings to enhance customer experience.
