Overview We are looking for an experienced Barista to join our team at our new location in Aventura Mall. The ideal candidate should have previous hands-on barista experience and be confident preparing espresso-based drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, and specialty coffees. We're looking for someone who is friendly, energetic, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service. Previous professional barista experience is required. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change with precision using cash handling best practices Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas to uphold food safety and hygiene standards Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide friendly, attentive service to enhance guest satisfaction Follow food safety protocols during food handling and beverage preparation to ensure compliance with health regulations Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple tasks such as serving drinks, taking orders, and restocking supplies Skills Proven experience as a barista or in food service within the food industry, with knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service techniques Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient retail transactions Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales records Ability to handle food safely, including proper food handling and preparation procedures Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods Experience in cleaning routines necessary for maintaining a hygienic café environment Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices Retail sales experience is a plus, along with familiarity in serving beverages in café or similar settings Embark on an exciting journey where your energy fuels memorable guest experiences!
