Barista The Pantry by Farmer's Table Located within Boca Wyndham Hotel | Boca Raton, FL Position Summary The Barista at The Pantry by Farmer's Table is responsible for delivering an exceptional café experience to hotel guests and local patrons. Daily 6 am to 1 pm. This role blends specialty coffee craftsmanship with warm, personalized hospitality reflective of the Farmer's Table Boca brand. The Barista prepares high-quality beverages and light fare while creating a welcoming, polished, and service-oriented environment. This position reports to the Café Supervisor and operates under the culinary and service standards of Farmer's Table Boca. Shifts 6 am to 1 pm daily. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience Greet hotel guests and outside customers in a warm, engaging, and professional manner Provide knowledgeable recommendations on coffee, teas, fresh juices, pastries, and grab-and-go items Deliver prompt, attentive service consistent with boutique hotel hospitality standards Anticipate guest needs and personalize interactions whenever possible Beverage & Food Preparation Prepare espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty drinks according to recipes and presentation standards Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and POS system accurately Plate and serve pastries, light breakfast items, and pre-packaged offerings Maintain consistency in quality, taste, and presentation Operations & Sanitation Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing café environment Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations Complete opening and closing checklists Monitor product levels and communicate inventory needs to supervisor Handle cash and credit transactions accurately Team & Brand Alignment Represent The Pantry and Farmer's Table Boca brand values at all times Collaborate with hotel front desk and restaurant team to ensure seamless guest experience Support special events, group bookings, and seasonal promotions Participate in training initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Qualifications Previous barista or café experience preferred (hotel experience a plus) Knowledge of espresso preparation and milk texturing techniques Strong customer service skills with a hospitality-first mindset Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and positive attitude Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Comfortable working in a small, dynamic café environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage Tips eligibility Employee dining discounts Growth opportunities within Farmer's Table Boca restaurant group About The Pantry by Farmer's Table The Pantry is a thoughtfully curated café concept offering high-quality coffee, tea, fresh pastries and sandwiches, and wholesome grab-and-go items.
