Job Description

As a Lead Barista at a Hilton -hosted Starbucks, you act as the bridge between management and the frontline team. You are responsible for ensuring that every guest receives a luxury hospitality experience while maintaining the strict beverage quality standards of the Starbucks brand. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Shift Leadership:
Oversee daily operations and delegate tasks to baristas to ensure smooth service and bar efficiency.
Training & Mentorship:
Lead the onboarding of new team members and provide ongoing coaching on Starbucks recipes, Hilton service standards, and equipment maintenance.
Operational Excellence:
Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, safe accountability, and daily sales reporting to Store Manager.
Guest Resolution:
Serve as the first point of contact for resolving guest concerns, ensuring a "customer-first" attitude at all times.
Inventory & Ordering:
Maintain organized stock and report outages to Store Manager to ensure no disruption in service.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor routines and food safety standards to guarantee product consistency.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of barista experience, with at least 6 months in a progressive leadership or shift-lead role.
Starbucks Knowledge:
Familiarity with Starbucks-specific POS systems, seasonal promotions, and specialty equipment is highly preferred.
Leadership Traits:
Strong ability to remain calm under pressure, motivate a team during high-volume peaks, and act as a professional role model.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with both guests and hotel management.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for the duration of a shift and lift up to 50 lb. when unloading warehouse orders.
