The Role We're seeking a dynamic, welcoming, and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Café Associate. This position is responsible for preparing and serving café menu items, assisting members with orders, and maintaining a clean and efficient café environment. This role requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to execute recipes and presentation standards consistently. Café Associates work closely with the member experience team to create a seamless, high-touch experience that reflects BLU's commitment to health, hospitality, and innovation. Core Responsibilities Member Experience & Service Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner. Provide knowledgeable assistance with café menu items and ingredient questions. Take orders accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Ensure every member interaction reflects warmth, professionalism, and hospitality. Food & Beverage Preparation Prepare and serve coffees, smoothies, açaí bowls, and other café menu items according to standardized recipes. Ensure every order is fresh, accurate, and beautifully presented. Maintain consistent quality and portion control across all menu offerings. Support efficient order flow during busy periods while maintaining quality standards. Cleanliness & Organization Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized café environment at all times. Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, equipment, and workstations regularly. Follow all food safety and sanitation standards. Ensure café displays, preparation areas, and service counters remain visually appealing. Inventory & Operations Support Monitor ingredient levels and café supplies throughout shifts. Track inventory usage and notify management when supplies are running low. Assist with stocking, labeling, and organizing café products and ingredients. Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with the front desk staff, and operations team. Contribute to a positive team environment focused on delivering exceptional member experiences. Maintain a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and operational efficiency. Qualifications Previous café, coffee shop, juice bar, or hospitality experience preferred. Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain). Knowledge of functional foods, clean ingredient sourcing, and health-conscious prep methods. Confident communicator with a polished, professional demeanor. Strong multitasker who thrives in a dynamic, high-energy setting. Familiarity with iOS-based apps, POS systems, or wellness platforms a plus. Passion for wellness, hospitality, and longevity-enhancing nutrition. Weekend availability required; flexibility is a plus.
