Lead Barista

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Responsibilities Prepare espresso-based drinks, pour-over coffee, cold brews, and other specialty beverages to exact standards. Maintain knowledge of different coffee beans, roasts, and brewing techniques. Ensure consistency and quality in every cup served. Greet customers warmly and engage with them about coffee selections and brewing methods. Provide personalized recommendations based on customer preferences. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly. Clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other equipment regularly. Perform daily sanitation tasks for the coffee bar and seating areas. Monitor equipment functionality and report any issues for repair. Track stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Assist with inventory restocking and ordering. Minimize waste by following portion control and proper storage procedures. Process customer payments accurately using the point-of-sale system. Manage cash drawer, credit transactions, and balance at shift end. Promote any loyalty programs or specials. Keep the coffee bar, condiment stations, and seating areas clean and organized. Making in house syrups based on house recipes. Ensure that menus, signage, and displays are neat and up-to-date. Follow health and safety guidelines at all times. Communicate effectively with team members and management. Assist with training new baristas on craft coffee techniques and shop policies. Support smooth workflow during busy periods. Requirements Previous experience in café environment is required. Knowledge of food preparation and handling practices is essential. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and colleagues. A passion for the food industry and sales is highly desirable.
