Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately and efficiently using POS Square. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, beverages, and light food items following established recipes and safety standards. Operate POS systems to process cash, credit card, and mobile payments with accuracy, ensuring proper cash handling and register balancing. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment. Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience for every guest. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring product freshness, and communicating needs to management. Skills Proven experience as a barista or in food service roles with a strong understanding of coffee preparation and serving techniques. Familiarity with POS systems such as square for efficient transaction processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Strong time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality standards. Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices within the food industry. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced café environment while maintaining attention to detail.
