Job Description
Job Summary Join our vibrant café team as a dedicated and energetic Barista! In this role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, crafting exceptional coffee and beverage experiences while delivering outstanding customer service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and eager to return. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage preparation, sales, and retail service within a dynamic café setting. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair. Operate POS systems such as Square a to process transactions efficiently and accurately. Manage credit card, cashiering, and basic math calculations during busy service periods. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly. Assist in food handling, serving food items, and food preparation to meet quality standards. Manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety. Qualifications Prior barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as square. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for credit card, retail math, and sales transactions. Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation protocols. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be over 21 years of age. Must have reliable transportation. Must be have an outgoing personality. Must be available to cover all shifts ( day or night). We are open from Monday - Thursday 6am to 2pm and 5pm to 11pm, Fridays 4:30pm to 11pm. Closed on the weekends. Fast Learner. Must be comfortable to take orders and deliver to the nurses in the hospital. Pay is $11.00 an hour. You will get weekly tips and Monthly tips. Experience in food service or retail environments is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
