Parlor Doughnuts is a craft doughnut and coffee shop offering an array of unique bakery items, including our original layered doughnuts; vegan, gluten-friendly, and keto-friendly products; artisanal breakfasts; and specialty coffee. Our goal is to efficiently deliver a superior product, at a moderate price, with exceptional service, in a comfortable setting. Parlor Doughnuts is looking for an experienced Barista to join the team! To prepare a quick, never rushed, quality cup of coffee and provide exceptional customer service. Baristas provide customers with education on specialty coffees and answer any questions the customer may have. Ensure that all coffee and other drinks meet or exceed the Parlor standard. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages Assist with front of house (doughnut orders, cash register, etc.) as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and inventory management Maintain approved Parlor playlist (music), ensuring it is on & at appropriate volume Provide product recommendations to customers based on their preferences Experience Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine operation Familiarity with retail math and cash handling procedures Strong math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating orders Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Physical stamina to withstand a full shift potentially on their feet Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices Experience using a point-of-sale (POS) system is a plus If you have a passion for coffee, enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, and have the skills required for this position, we would love to hear from you. to join our team of dedicated baristas!
