Summary of Position:

Following established operational procedures, operate company equipment to prepare the highest quality coffee and beverages available in the company menu. As part of his responsibilities as a member of the organization, perform the complementary duties assigned to the position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Comply with established standards and procedures set out in Carmela's Operating Policies.
• Brew coffee, grind coffee beans, prepare tea and serve items to customers consistent with Carmela's recipes.
• Serve prepared foods to customers
• Record all food and drink orders, accept guest payment.
• Stay guest-focused and nurture the practice of "Excellence of Service to our guests.
• Stock customer service stations with beverages
• While serving customers, educate them on the food and drink options available to them.
• Make sure all our customers become aware of our loyalty programs.
• Guarantee cleanliness of the FOH area, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas. Take out garbage.
• Take inventory when requested and replenish items in display cases, tables, or behind the counter. Make sure to timely inform the supervisor of any restocking needed
• In conjunction with other members of the FOH team must make sure serving tables are clean and properly reset for new customers. Also make sure to complete the Opening and Closing checklist as requested by the Store Manager
• Last but not least become part of a highly energized team, focused on excellence of service.

Qualifications :

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Basic experience as a barista (desirable)Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Possess strong organizational and multi-task skills.
• Ability to adapt to a team-work oriented workforce, accept and follow indications from management
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register or POS systems
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds
