This role plays a key part in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, driving sales, and upholding operational standards.
HOW YOU'LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
Greet guests and provide information about available food, beverages, merchandise, and hotel amenities. Prepare specialty coffee drinks following established recipes and operate coffee shop equipment safely and correctly. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the coffee shop, including equipment, displays, and floors, according to SOPs. Restock and refresh merchandise and food displays to ensure an inviting presentation. Open and close the coffee shop on time, following proper setup and closing procedures. Process all sales through the Micros system, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to accounting procedures. Monitor inventory levels, communicate restocking needs, and assist management with ordering. Secure all cash and deposits per hotel and company policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and service standards. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Other duties as asssigned.
KEY STRENGTHS FOR SUCCESS
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work quickly and multitask in a busy café environment. Attention to detail in beverage preparation, merchandising, and cash handling. Reliability and punctuality in opening/closing procedures. Proactive approach to cleanliness, presentation, and inventory management.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 3-6
months of related café or barista experience preferred. Retail and/or customer service experience preferred. Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems a plus.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
