Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented cafe barista/Sales professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining a positive shopping environment. Your ability to engage with customers, promote products, and ensure smooth operations at the point of sale will be key to our success. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. Maintain an organized checkout area and ensure it is stocked with necessary supplies. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance customer satisfaction. Conduct product demonstrations as needed to showcase new items or promotions. Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support as necessary. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to effectively assist customers. Requirements Proven experience in retail sales or cashier roles is preferred. Strong basic math skills, including retail math for accurate transaction processing. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in grocery store settings is a plus but not required.
