Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead/Kitchen Barista to join our vibrant café team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service, crafting high-quality beverages, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive barista experience, and a passion for the food and beverage industry. As a key team member, you will oversee daily operations, ensure food safety standards are met, and contribute to creating memorable experiences for our customers. Responsibilities Lead the café team by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth daily operations. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, sales tracking, and cash handling. Oversee food preparation and food handling procedures to maintain safety standards and quality. Ensure accurate cash handling, cashiering, and retail math calculations during transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café workspace in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies, placing orders, and minimizing waste. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly. Support sales initiatives by promoting menu items and upselling where appropriate. Uphold food safety standards through proper food handling, sanitation practices, and adherence to health regulations. Skills Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and familiarity with café operations. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences. Knowledge of food safety protocols, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales reporting. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Leadership qualities with the capacity to motivate team members and foster a positive work environment.
