Duties Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items according to established recipes and quality standards. Operate POS systems such as Clover to process transactions swiftly and accurately. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and food handling with precision, maintaining proper cash register procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service. Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness. Skills Proven experience as a barista with a strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques. Previous cashiering experience using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totaling. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced café environment while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and serving.
