Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated barista to join our vibrant café teams in Waikiki, Ward, and Downtown Honolulu. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee and customer service will contribute to an exceptional experience for our guests, ensuring they leave with a smile. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction throughout their visit. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math skills for processing sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas. Assist in food preparation and handling, ensuring all items meet safety and quality standards. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; communicate needs to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Stay knowledgeable about menu items, promotions, and coffee brewing techniques to enhance customer experience. Requirements Previous experience in the café or food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus; willingness to learn is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to handle food safely and adhere to health regulations. Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
