Job Overview As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while serving high-quality coffee and beverages. Your expertise in customer service and coffee preparation will ensure that each guest has an exceptional experience. You will be responsible for operating the POS system, managing cash transactions, and maintaining food safety standards. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with precision and care. Operate Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and payment handling. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed. Handle cash transactions accurately while following proper cash handling procedures. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Experience Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications are essential. Experience with food handling and preparation, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic café environment.
