Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista/Confectioner to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your culinary skills and customer service expertise will contribute to an exceptional experience for our guests, making each visit memorable. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained. Assist in the preparation of baked goods, pastries, and light food items as needed. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Handle food production tasks while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Engage with customers to create a friendly environment and promote menu items effectively. Skills Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Culinary skills including baking, pastry preparation, and cake decorating are highly desirable. Knowledge of food handling practices and kitchen safety protocols. Proficiency in using kitchen equipment, including knives and other food preparation tools. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work setting.
