Job description: We are looking for a friendly, lively cafe worker/barista to join our staff at the HearthRock Cafe, which is located inside the Benson Stone Company building. This is a pleasant work environment in a beautiful historic building with a cozy ambiance. The food and beverages we serve are handmade with care. This is a part-time position, requiring between 15 and 25 hours per week, breakfast and lunch hours only. Saturdays are required. The cafe is closed in the evenings, on Sundays, and on most major holidays.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers, provide attentive service, and create a welcoming atmosphere Operate the Square POS system to process orders and handle transactions Prepare and serve a variety of quality cafe beverages, sandwiches, salads, soups, and baked goods Manage time effectively to provide excellent customer service and maintain a smooth workflow Keep a clean and organized workspace, following food safety and kitchen safety standards

Qualifications:

Food service and/or barista experience preferred Current ServSafe certification preferred Friendly, upbeat personality Customer service experience Must be reliable with a good attendance record Team-oriented work ethic and willingness to lend a hand as needed Motivated and efficient multitasker Basic math skills for handling cash and operating a cash register

Pay:

Base pay is $15/hour, and staff can make up to $20/hr after tips on busy days.
