Job Description
Position Summary:
The Barista Team Lead at Dark Side Roasters is essential in overseeing day-to-day operations while actively participating in coffee preparation and customer service. You will support the management team by coordinating shifts, training staff and maintaining quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve coffee and espresso-based beverages following Dark Side Roasters' recipes and quality standards.
- Supervise daily store operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
- Train, mentor, and support baristas, emphasizing company standards and operational procedures.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints effectively and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of coffee preparation areas, equipment, and seating areas.
- Oversee cash handling, opening/closing procedures, and reconciliation of cash drawers.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, stocking supplies, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Support promotional initiatives and special events.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Provide regular feedback to management regarding operational improvements and employee performance.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a barista with supervisory or leadership responsibilities preferred.
- Passion for coffee and enthusiasm for customer service.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating reliability and punctuality. Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
