In this dynamic role, you'll be the friendly face behind the counter, expertly preparing beverages, handling retail transactions, and delivering exceptional customer service. Duties Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care. Operate POS systems such as TOAST to process sales accurately and efficiently. Handle all cash transactions with attention to detail, ensuring proper cash handling and processing. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and answering questions about menu items. Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards. Assist in food handling and food preparation tasks to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Manage retail sales transactions smoothly while promoting our products to enhance customer satisfaction. Support beverage service and drink presentation to ensure a delightful experience for every guest. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times to maintain hygiene standards. Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service. Qualifications Previous barista experience or café experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus. Experience with POS systems such as TOAST is desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving accurate change. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Food industry or retail sales experience is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours effectively.
