Full Job Description About Modern Party Art:
Modern Party Art is a creative art studio and event space opening a brand-new location in Dorchester this summer. We combine art, community and a vibrant cafe experience to create a fun, high-energy environment for both kids and adults. We're building a team that's just as passionate about great customer service as they are about creativity and culture. Job Overview We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and upbeat barista to join our team. This is a multi-role position that includes barista service, cashier responsibilities, team training, and shift leadership. You'll play a key role in setting the tone, training staff, and helping us build a strong cafe experience from the ground up. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, specialty drinks with consistency and quality Operate POS systems and handle card transactions accurately Provide friendly, fast, and welcoming customer service Maintain cleanliness and organization of cafe and service areas Train new staff on drink preparation, customer service, and workflow Lead shifts, delegate tasks and ensure smooth daily operations Monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs
Qualifications:
2+ years of barista experience (required) Experience with espresso machines, milk steaming, and drink building Prior experience training staff or leading shifts (strongly preferred) Comfortable in a fast-paced, high energy environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Weekend and evening availability required
Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience
