Our baristas are the heart of our coffee shop. We're seeking staff members who are friendly, engaging and naturally enjoy building relationships with customers. The ideal candidate takes pride in providing outstanding service, works well as part of a team, and helps create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel like regulars from their very first visit. Reliability and a positive attitude are a must. School year and weekend availability is also a must as we will be open seven days a week, year round. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Prepare and serve beverages and food items according to company standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and handle customer transactions.
• Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and daily cleaning duties
• such as:
• Wiping chairs and tables
• Mopping the floor
• Taking out the trash
• Keeping the condiments station neat and tidy
• Washing dishes, stocking stuff in the back room
• Bathroom touch-ups Follow food safety standards and proper food handling protocols to ensure quality and safety Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards Requirements Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods in a fast-paced environment Reliable team player with a positive attitude eager to learn and grow within the café industry At Birch Tree Coffee Company, our mission is simple: serve exceptional coffee and create a place where people feel welcome, connected, and at home.
