Barista / Cashier

Overview Join our vibrant café team as a Barista / Cashier, where your energy and enthusiasm will create memorable experiences for every guest. In this role, you'll be the friendly face behind the counter, crafting delicious beverages, food, and providing exceptional customer service. You will be an important part in the functions of the cafe. Your attention to detail and passion for health foods will help foster a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. Whether preparing specialty drinks or managing transactions, you'll play a vital part in delivering a seamless and enjoyable café experience. There is a large amount of prep, production, and product knowledge involved in this role. Knowledge of cold pressed juices, herbs, and nutrition is a huge plus. Prior juice bar experience is a bigger plus. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Toast Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change while maintaining accurate cash handling records Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and customer spaces Assist with food handling, including basic food preparation Manage customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive experience at all times Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness Requirements Previous barista experience or juice bar experience knowledge is highly preferred Reliable transportation to Downtown Baltimore Strong proven leadership qualities Self-motivated and highly ambitious Passion for health, wellness products, and customer service Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in food service operations A proactive attitude with a passion for creating welcoming environments in café or retail settings No nut allergies Ability to stand for long periods of time Join us to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering quality juice, exceptional service, and a lively atmosphere.
