Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency in every cup Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing excellent service to enhance their café experience Handle retail sales transactions efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, processing cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments with precision Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling, beverage preparation stations, and seating areas to meet food safety standards Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling pastries or light snacks while adhering to food safety protocols Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality or service standards Follow all food handling procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both guests and team members Requirements Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and retail math calculations Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Join us as a Starbucks Barista where your energy fuels our community's daily moments of joy!
