The candidate should be someone who can thrive in a busy café under limited supervision but also who is willing to take instruction and learn from mistakes. Part time, seasonal position. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with precision and care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and utensils. Assist customers in selecting products and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS system. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Participate in food preparation as needed, including pastries or light snacks. Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment and foster repeat business. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele. Experience in food service or retail environments is preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
