ROOT Cafe in Fennville, MI is looking for one barista/bartender to join our team. We are located on 120 E Main St. We are in our 12th year and have been growing yearly. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and hard-working.. We are a seasonal community but this is not a seasonal job. 25-35 hours week. Compensation dependent on experience. Responsibilities Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages. Must be 18+ years old. Interact with customers, take orders, and serve and make drinks including non-alcohol, espresso and cocktails Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails or espresso drinks Help Plan and present drink menu Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age Restock and replenish FOH inventory and supplies Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience Comply with all food and beverage regulations Qualifications Proven working experience in a restaurant with multi tasking skills Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus Positive attitude and excellent communication skills Ability to keep the FOH organized, stocked and clean Relevant training certificate Routinely cleans front counter area, dishes and floors We are a small cafe that has seasonal differences in customer volume, so responsibilities change depending on season and number of people on staff.
